The
king wants to know how many people he can fit in the room
that you design for this event. The safety inspector, an
expert in occupancy,
has revealed that each person requires at least 4 square
feet (4 feet2) of space, something you should
keep in mind while designing the floor plan. The king, as
demanding as he is, wants you to present 2 different floor
plans that can fit different numbers of guests. Here is
the challenge: each design must have a total perimeter of
exactly 40 feet.
Use the geoboard on your left to design your floor plan.
Note:
Each square on the grid is equal to 1 unit long
by 1 unit wide.
In this
exercise, 1 unit = 2 meters
